Jaroslav Dočkal

Biography

Mr Dockal is a graduate of VDU Martin in Slovakia and Brno Military Academy. He finished his service in the Czech Army and the Air Force as a colonel and after worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Defence in Brno. He finished a C3I course in Russia (Liaison Academy) and a management course in USA (Naval Postgraduate School). He lectured at the Technical University of Košice, the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš (Slovakia), and at the Ljubljana University (Slovenia) through an Erasmus programme. At present he is the vice-rector and director of the Institute of Applied Informatics at Vysoká škola Karla Engliše (Karel Engliš College), but also gives specialised lectures at Masaryk University and at the University of Defence in Brno.

Professor Dockal is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Czech journal, Data Security Management, and an instructor at Cisco Network Academy, as well as an external lecturer at the Hewlett Packard Education Centre. Another role organised by Prof Dockal is grant project manager OP Education for Competitiveness "Promoting security training IT workers in the South Region of the Czech Republic". From 2001 he has been an integral manager in the annual conference, "Security and Protection of Information".
